Orval Dillingham was an American artist known for his contributions to the art world during the mid-20th century. His work spans various styles and media, often reflecting the evolving artistic movements of his time. Dillingham received his BA and MFA from the University of Minnesota as well as an Art degree from the Minneapolis School of Art. He later taught at his alma maters as well as St. Cloud State University before becoming an Art Professor at California State University, Long Beach.

His work has been exhibited in numerous galleries and museums, contributing to his reputation as an influential figure in American art.
